North Brook Farms has been marketing and manufacturing cow and equine comfort products since 1989. Peter Kyle discovered the benefits of rubber under cows in his own dairy operation. The family dairy farm (375 dairy cows) in Weedsport, NY used shredded-recycled rubber under their cows covered the rubber with a heavy industrial grade fabric. This was the first "Cow Mattress". The cow response was immediate and the positive comfort results were evident in the condition and cleanliness of the cows on the mattresses. A business was born.
North Brook's business has grown and evolved steadily. Presently, North Brook Farms also offers a wide variety of related Animal Comfort Products and building and barn supplies for the equine and dairy markets.
North Brook Farms incorporated in 1994, due to a broader market demand for many of the company's products. Additional offerings include Industrial and Commercial Plastics, Consumer and Playground related flooring and rubber tiles, continuing to be heavily centered on a recycled materials philosophy.
North Brook Farms is the manufacturer of the revolutionary TruStride footing surface that is dust free without the need to water. Through an analysis of the traditional issues in the ring- dust, watering, maintenance, inconsistent leg and tendon support - North Brook has created a variety of arena surfaces/arena amendments using a unique recycled blend with the goal of providing a safer, more stable surface for the horse, as well as a healthier environment for both the horse and rider. It was an opportunity to incorporate recycled products all ready in use by North Brook Farms.
North Brook's main operations are located in Auburn, NY in the Finger Lakes region. |
